Testing and Calibration

Every Swagelok industrial pressure gauge is factory calibrated and pressure tested.

Trunnion Ball Valves

83 Series and H83 Series

  • Working pressures up to 10 000 psig (689 bar)

  • 1/8 to 1/2 in. and 6 to 12 mm Swagelok  tube fitting or NPT end connections

  • 316 stainless steel materials

Important Information About Ball Valves
Swagelok ball valves are designed to be used in a fully open or fully closed position. Valves that have not been cycled for a period of time may have a higher initial actuation torque.

Rising Plug Valves

Testing

Every 4P and 5P series rising plug valve is factory tested with nitrogen at 1000 psig (69 bar). Seats have a maximum allowable leak rate of 0.1 std cm3/min. Stem and body seals are tested to a requirement of no detectable leakage using a liquid leak detector.

Cleaning and Packaging
All Swagelok 4P and 5P series rising plug valves are cleaned and packaged in accordance with Swagelok Standard Cleaning and Packaging (SC-10), MS-06-62.
